finally, sony!
The last 2 years were hard with you, Sony Ericsson, but it seems you’re back with a killer device.
I couldn’t have asked for much more:
- HSUPA
- 3” WVGA (800 x 480) display
- aGPS
- Touchscreen
- Fully QWERTY keyboard
- A2DP
- 3.2 MP auto focus camera
- VGA 30 fps video recording
- 400 MB internal + microSD support
- WiFi
Look out for the X1 in the second half of ‘08.

After more than 3 years I’m giving Linux another try. I remembered it to be rather unintuitive (KDE that is) but, hey, it seems to have changed - a lot! After a day with Ubuntu (Gutsy Gibbon) everything is pretty much set up, no driver issues - even with a dual display setup.
The main reason for switching was my win xp installation that had some corrupted files and wouldn’t boot anymore.
Main reason for staying with Ubuntu will probably be the awesomeness of FireFox 2.0 for Linux. I was always a big fan of Opera for Windows and even bought my present PC pretty much just for that but FF for Linux is killing it. Super fast, feels lightweight (unlike the windows or osx version!) and has all the flexibility that comes with FF.

“There’s been a few times when people have said, ‘I don’t believe you, that you’re Barack Obama’s speechwriter,’ ” he went on. “To which I reply, ‘If I really wanted to hit on you, don’t you think I’d make up something more outlandish?’ ”

“If you have the option, shoot RAW and BW jpeg. That way you get a preview of the BW, but you can use the RAW to get a proper nice BW film effect. RAW always saves the colour data, so you can always decide to keep it colour later.”

Uploaded some new pictures today.

“Brooklyn Doctor Opens IM Practice: OMG! You’ve Got Cancer :(“
(wired)
This guy rocks. He’s not only one of the few innovative doctors but also a kickass photographer.
He’s available via IM and E-Mail and doesn’t have a practice or a secratary (thus keeps overhead extremely low!). He only does house calls. There is other stuff he does different from conventional doctors. Check out his website.
Love the concept!

Holy shit!
Microsoft Inks Deal with Facebook - WSJ.com: “Microsoft Corp. agreed to invest $240 million for a minority stake in Facebook Inc. that values the social-networking site at $15 billion, beating Google Inc. in a closely watched contest.”

This is getting a little ridiculous. Let’s see if this ends like PointCast or GeoCities.
It will sure be interesting to watch. Can you say Bubble 2.0?
Oh, and he’s only 3 years older then me. Not bad. Not bad at all!

Lottery odds are fun. Check out this cartoon.
“It is a bit like riding a roller coaster rather than buying a car: Fine if that’s your idea of fun, but not a good way to get around.”

Funny thing is that I remember every single metro I’ve been on so far.
My favorites: London Underground (MIND THE GAP!!!) and the Berlin U-Bahn (very efficient, clean and on time)!
Neat idea, Alberto!
